"Megaman: Polarity 2"
A better, but still cheap, attempt to combine Megaman and Ikaruga.

After the events of "Polarity," Megaman receives word that his longtime nemesis, Bass, now has the same ability that he has. Megaman sends himself to investigate, and comes head to head with Bass on a more level playing field...

The second installment of the series was the first to actually go under the title "Megaman: Polarity." Still not realizing how big it would turn out to be, I only spent a few weeks on it (compared to only one week for the first episode). Even though it was still a sprite animation, I used SNES sprites from Megaman 7 and made it a battle between Bass and Megaman. As I was nearing the end of the episode, I could tell that I wanted to continue the series for at least one more episode, so I left a cliffhanger ending to let people know that Polarity would return for a third installment.

"Megaman: Polarity 2" was released almost a month after its predecessor to better reviews. Many liked the better action sequence, better sprites, etc. The first idea for a game originated in the reviews of this episode. Even though I had already planned to make another sequel, the better reviews, score, and overall quality solidified the next chapter.
